General Information

The AWC holds general meetings monthly ** in Beirut from September through June, with activities planned during the months of July and August for those members who remain in Lebanon for the summer.

The membership year begins September 1st and ends August 31st.

Eligibility

Any woman who is an American citizen or wife of an American citizen and who is interested in the objectives of the AWC can be a member. The AWC of Lebanon welcomes members who fulfill the following requirements of the club's constitutive act:

You are an American citizen or wife of an American citizen (must hold a US passport)
You live or own land in Lebanon
You are ready to abide by the regulations and decisions of the AWC and work actively to realize its aims
You are not affiliated to any Lebanese political party

We have again maintained only one level of membership. In previous years there were three levels to join, but this year the membership will consist of one level only. The membership will offer the same benefits as noted above, with the exception of the general monthly meetings.

Member functions will be planned as circumstances allow. Many of the groups have begun to meet in person again as Covid has allowed us to do so.

It was determined that when we are able to hold in person General Meetings, the cost of the event will be the responsibility of the club member.

Also different than previous years, due to the fluctuation of the dollar, all membership fees will be collected in USD. LL fees will be calculated at the current market rate.

2022 / 23 Yearly fee for membership is $20
